Not everyone earns money from a job but maybe you've received money as a gift. Still, it may not be something you think a lot about. All of us do however have possessions like electronics, toys or clothes. Of course God wants us to be stewards (good users/caretakers) of all the gifts he gives us. The greatest gift he has for us is the eternal relationship with him in Heaven and the unimaginable riches we will experience.
Nothing we have here will begin to compare or even last for eternity. That's why our focus shouldn't settle on the earthly types of treasures but instead build on that eternal relationship. Jesus spoke a lot about money/posessions when he was here on earth and he knew the hardships and unsettledness it could cause within ourselves and our relationships with others. He reminds us to trust in him as our ultimate provider, he doesn't mean we will always have exactly what we want but we will see him do amazing things.
