Which neighbor are you?
This week we met "the good Samaritan." He saw a neighbor in need, stopped to help and made sure the man was taken care of until he healed physically. Check out the video below for a review of the story/parable Jesus told when he was asked "who is my neighbor"
Sometimes people will need help in ways we can't always do by ourselves and we can ask others to lend a hand. Other times we could help someone by carrying their groceries or cleaning up their yard. Challenge your family this summer to find a way to help someone else. It could be a simple act of kindness or a big project where you enlist another family to help. When we focus on those around us and not only on ourselves, we will find ways to be a good neighbor. Being a good neighbor has no age restrictions or limits. It is something we can often do as a family.
mc3PitStop will be on a break for the rest of the summer. Spend time each week as a family helping others or even just going on a walk and play a game of "eye spy" This will help you to keep your focus outward on others. Maybe find time to complete a bible plan on YouVersion as a family, there are plans searchable by age group and focus ideas.
Have a great summer and see you in September with an all new series and content!
