Week 8 "After Legacy"

Week 8 "After Legacy"

Written on 11/28/2018

Watch this video about David and SolomonGod kept his promise to David and 28 generations later Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph. (Stay tuned next month when we learn more about Joseph)

Do: Read the following passage. This is part of Jesus' words to his disciples at their last meal together

“My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come.   “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:33‭-‬35 NIV

Discuss: Our legacy can be in Jesus, we can reach people not just in our family and leave a lasting impact for the future! Jesus explained it to his disciples and it still holds true almost 2000 years later. That's a lasting impact, a strong legacy. If we do as he says, this passage shows the key, and love others then they will know that we are his disciples, that we love Him. We can show others what it means to be a Christ Follower when we love and do things for other people, then other people will get to see the love Jesus has for us and we have for him.

Ask: What is one way we can show someone love and kindness this week?
